At Ridgecrest Post Acute, we offer a comprehensive behavioral health program with a focus on individualized care and programming. Ridgecrest’s behavioral health community features four separate units based on acuity and/or gender.
Renaissance Unit

HIGH-ACUITY SECURED UNIT (MEN & WOMEN)
Designed for adults with serious mental illness, this high-acuity unit provides intensive behavioral and psychiatric support for those with complex mental health diagnoses (schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, schizoaffective disorder, severe PTSD, or anxiety disorders).

HIGH-ACUITY SECURED UNIT (MEN)
A secure, high-acuity unit serving men with severe cognitive impairments, including advanced dementia, traumatic brain injury, or other neurocognitive disorders, and who often exhibit challenging behaviors. A person-centered approach with consistent routines and sensory based interventions helps reduce agitation and enhances comfort.

HIGH-ACUITY SECURED UNIT (WOMEN)
Secured, high-acuity care for women experiencing global cognitive impairment. Sedona is equipped to support women with advanced neurocognitive decline who require consistent behavioral interventions. The care model emphasizes dignity, stability, and emotional reassurance.

Sunset Unit
SECURED UNIT (MEN & WOMEN)
Serving men and women with mild to moderate global cognitive impairments, this secured unit focuses on maintaining cognitive function, supporting daily living skills, and fostering social interaction. Sunset provides a therapeutic, yet less intensive environment while still offering the safety that comes with secured care.
