During my lengthy stay at Ridgecrest I was pleasantly surprised with the nursing services and all the administrative support from medical records, Jay, case management, and activities. All of my nurses were very helpful. The OT and PT people they have here were very motivating but at the same time empathetic; all of the staff have really been empathetic. Although no one might choose to be in a nursing setting like this, I am grateful that I chose Ridgecrest for this stay.

If I could give negative stars I would. I’m posting this review for my 70 year old mother who arrived at this facility post-injury and after leaving Banner Thunderbird. I would not recommend this facility. The response time for the call button for anything my mom needed was between 10-25 minutes, IF anyone ever came to help. The facility left a wheelchair in her room and allowed my mom to use it to wheel herself, unassisted, into the bathroom when she needed assistance with a walker to get strength in her leg after a hip surgery. I requested it be removed so my mom would have to use the walker to strengthen her leg and the wheelchair was never got removed. My mother could have been seriously injured. She said she needed to do it herself because no one ever came after she would click the assistance button. This is unacceptable for a “rehabilitation facility” and I use that term loosely. My mother is diabetic and I told 3 different people this information, including the social services dept., her direct nurse and the liaison before we arrived. She was given sugary food the entire time and high carb meals. We had to beg for a shower for her when she arrived and the employee that cared at all to ever help my mom was Susie, an aide. The nurses never smiled and spent more time joking and laughing at the nurses station than they did assisting patients. On any given visit when I arrived, there would be several (more than 5 lights lit up) patients needing assistance. Additionally, they were NEVER quiet at the station, even late into the night. The overall morale from the good employees was obviously very bad due to work load. We were told by one of these good employees that showers for patients are put off until she arrives. Upon leaving, I had to ask several times to get help getting her to the car, when Susie (the best employee there) offered to help. She was awesome. The other staff – AWFUL. In fact, when I left, paperwork with HIPPA info was inadvertently included in my mom’s discharge papers. Wow. Do NOT allow your loved ones to be left alone at this facility.

Highly recommend Ridgecrest for your recovery. The folks in rehab are awesome starting with Wendy, Jayce, Brian and Jennifer. My nurse Michael truly goes the extra mile. The ladies in social services have stayed on top of all my needs. I’ve been to three different rehab facilities and Ridgecrest in my top three. Shout out to Brooklyn and Emma!

You should only hope your parents never have to go here. The front of the house staff, the occupational therapy and physical therapy people seem like the care but, once you get past them the actual care team are just collecting a check. My Mom was in here for 10 days. They were never on schedule for her medication. Complained and only once helped her shower. CNAs would forget to tell the nurse that she was asking for medication. Drs orders were for pain medication and muscle relaxers to be “on request” but the nursing staff would argue with her and say no they are scheduled until someone finally dug deeper and said oh yes, they are on request. The final straw was when I went the past day to bring her home and her left leg was red and oozing. I had noticed the redness the day before and she said she showed the night nurse and she just told her not to wear her compression stockings but, the night nurse never told her supervisor that there might be an issue. It was only when I raised holy hell did someone pay attention and contact a doctor. Chantel the charge nurse did try to intervene and make things right but, for me it was too late. The Dr did call in a prescription that we could pick up after discharge. They did try to get her to stay for observation but, I was way past done with that place.

I was a patient in this facility after a lengthy hospitalization at Mayo Clinic hospital . My stay at Ridgecrest was not a good experience . My 26 day stay at Ridgecrest has now left me dialysis dependent, stage 5 kidney disease from an ecoli urinary Tract infection which wasn’t treated with appropriate antibiotics regime according to my nephrologist at Mayo Clinic . Labs done before my discharge revealed I was in critical condition my sister who was acting as my MPOA at the time was not notified of these critical labs . I remember very little of the last few weeks of my stay only that I was left sitting in urine and feces . My providers at Mayo have told me I was fortunate to have had an appointment at Mayo as I may have not survived . I am fortunate to be alive . I am now being cared for now by my sister and her staff at her assisted living home making tremendous progress. I am getting up everyday walking starting to eat food again . Instead of lying in bed in urine and feces and no activity or simulation. Wasting away . I would not recommend this facility to anyone with immune compromised conditions as I have had . I would rate this facility a negative rating . I was fortunate to have survived my stay at this horrible facility . Not one department head responded to my sister’s emails to file a grievance I saw her emails . I also was told she left several messages to speak to the administrator, Director of nursing , Directer of social services not one response. Very unacceptable to not hear the grievances of a vulnerable adult as I was .

I can’t say enough amazing things about Ridgecrest Post Acute. From the very first day, it was clear this place is something special. The entire staff goes out of their way to make sure every patient feels comfortable, safe, and truly cared for. It’s not just a facility — it really feels like a second home where everyone is treated like family. The level of care and attention here is outstanding. The nursing staff is always on top of everything, making sure needs are met quickly and with genuine kindness. They don’t just do their jobs — they take the time to connect with patients, listen, and make sure everyone feels valued and respected. You can tell they truly care, and that makes all the difference. The therapy team is just as incredible. Whether it’s physical, occupational, or speech therapy, they are dedicated, patient, and encouraging every step of the way. They push you to improve while still making you feel supported and confident. The progress you see here is a direct result of how hard they work and how much they care. The environment is clean, welcoming, and full of positive energy. Staff members are always friendly, smiling, and willing to help not just patients, but family members as well. Communication is excellent, and you always feel informed and included, which brings so much peace of mind. I especially want to give a huge shoutout to Nina Kees — she is truly one of the best nurses they have. She is always on top of her game, incredibly knowledgeable, and such a kind-hearted person. She goes above and beyond for her patients and makes everyone feel comfortable and cared for. You can see how much she genuinely loves what she does, and it shows in the way she treats people. She’s the kind of nurse that makes a lasting impression and gives families confidence that their loved ones are in the best hands possible. If you’re looking for a place that provides top-quality care, compassion, and a true family-like atmosphere, Ridgecrest Post Acute is absolutely the best choice. I would highly recommend it to anyone in need of short-term or long-term care. They don’t just meet expectations — they exceed them in every way possible.

The care and professionalism at Ridgecrest Post Acute Care are outstanding, but what makes the biggest difference is how welcome they make you feel from the moment you walk in. Look I’ve been to some bad places so comparatively Ridgecrest isn’t anywhere near the worst. With every rehabilitation facility comes day-to-day challenges that at times might not meet everyone’s expectations but does not mean in the slightest that the facility itself is bad. A majority of the nurses here go above and beyond and you can genuinely tell that they care, even the CNAs are pretty on top of things around here and that’s pretty impressive no matter what facility you’re at. A representative from admissions explained to me that she has a very small car but she would put forth her due diligence at trying to get back as much of my stuff from the other facility as she can, That being said she came through with all of it and it has made me most appreciative. The air conditioning works, the food isn’t terrible, the wound care nurses are on top of it, I’ve never been late to an appointment and every resident I have encountered has been civil and respectful. At the end of the day I don’t really go out of my way to ask for any more than that and I promise you I get it here. If you’re stuck in a hospital after a really bad surgery and the case workers dumps that packet in your lap and tells you to pick a facility to rehabilitate in, do yourself a favor pick Ridgecrest Post Acute and save your brain from the worrying and the guesswork. And a big shout out to Tameka for making my stay that much more tolerable! Thank you very much!

Shoutout to Ashley B at the front desk! She is very professional & is always attentive to anyone who comes through the doors. When I visit on the weekends, I’m always greeted with a Good Morning or Good Afternoon along with a smile & positive attitude! You don’t see that often nowadays! When talking to Ashley B, she always remembers the small things which is what stands out to me as a vistor! Ashley B definitely deserves a raise for all that she does!! A++++++ from me!!
